Bowlemetry

Privacy policy

Effective September 5, 2026.

Bowlemetry stores your scores, equipment, and notes on this device. That data does not leave the device unless you turn on cloud backup or use the AI Coach.

Cloud backup stores an encrypted copy of your database on Amazon Web Services (AWS), linked to your account. We never receive your passphrase. Backups are kept until account deletion unless the service has a configured backup expiry.

With your explicit permission, AI Coach and deep reviews send questions, recent conversation, scores, shot and spare statistics, equipment names and specs, your optional bowling profile and reported ball reaction or adjustments, and bowling context such as center names and notes through our AWS servers to Anthropic (Claude) to generate advice. Closing the AI screen ends permission for future requests; reopening asks again. Declining leaves offline features available. Closing a screen cannot recall data already sent.

Anthropic normally deletes API inputs and outputs within 30 days, subject to its legal, safety, and contractual exceptions. See privacy.claude.com for its commercial API retention policy. Our application does not store a server-side conversation history. AWS operational logs are configured to expire after 30 days.

We retain question and token counts linked to your account to enforce usage limits. Requests also send an app-install identifier, and our servers receive your IP address. Hashed install and IP identifiers and lifetime trial counts are retained without automatic expiry, including after account deletion, to prevent repeated free trials. These are not advertising identifiers. We do not sell your data, show ads, or track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

An account is an email address held by Amazon Cognito. Purchases are processed by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat. We do not receive your full payment card number.

Settings, then Delete my account, removes your Cognito sign-in and, when the cloud service is configured, your cloud backups, account usage counts, and Bowlemetry entitlement record. Store and RevenueCat transaction records are not erased by that operation and remain subject to their retention policies. Deletion does not cancel a store subscription. Local games remain until you delete them in the app or remove the app’s local data. Device backups managed by your operating system are controlled separately in device settings.

To request deletion of retained information or ask a privacy question, email support@bowlemetry.app or use the support page.
